COMPANY and SENIOR SECTIONS
Our Company and Senior Sections meet in Middle Church Hall on a Friday evening between 7.15pm and 10.00pm. All boys aged between 11 and 18 years, generally P7 - S6, will be made welcome.
We currently have 14 boys on our Roll and are supported by 6 officers and 2 Warrant Officers.
We offer a variety of activities as part of our weekly programme, including games, sports and physical activities, drill and Christian Education. We also offer classwork in line with the Boys' Brigade Award Schemes, with Company Section using the programme for boys aged 11-14, and the Senior Section using the programme for boys aged 14-18. We have been successful in recent years in encouraging boys to work through these Award Schemes, and since the COVID shutdown we are proud that 11 boys have gained their President's Badge, 5 of whom have already gone on to achieve their Queen's Badge, the highest award in The Boys' Brigade.
We take part in the local Battalion competitions and events, ranging from quizzes and drill to a variety of sports and PE activities. We also participate in selected national competitions which are of interest to the boys, and arrange an outing or two each session, such as pantomimes, 10-pin bowling or Laser Quest.
We also support activities which take place within Middle Church, such as quizzes run by other member organisations, and our Company attend the Church service once a month during the session.
Our session generally runs from September until April, and closes with an Annual Display held in the Church Hall each year.
